Katikati Bird Gardens
The Katikati Bird Gardens is a beautiful and extensive park set on the edge of Tauranga harbour, featuring a wide range of native and colourful birds. You will find a caf and an art gallery on the premises as well. Set in delightful gardens of mature trees, lily ponds and secret paths, the Bird Gardens are a great place to visit for people of all ages. It is peaceful and enchanting.
Cascades Water Gardens
Cascade Fountain Gardens provides a special treat with unique water features and fountains. All this is set amongst lakes, towering trees, natives and flower gardens with architectural features and sculptures. And after dark, more than 200 lights transform this oasis into a magical haven of twinkling lights, sparkling cascades and coloured fountains.
Lavender Farm
The Lavender Farm is a unique operation with over two hectares of lavender, olives, and bergamot trees in a Mediterranean setting, which are under cultivation for their precious oils. The resulting pure lavender oil is available with homegrown lavender products and exquisite gifts at the specialist lavender shop on the farm. There is a nice cafe on site as well.
